little sister was the center of attention on christmas eve, which was spent at my aunt's house with about 30 relatives. she was quite taken with "the cowboy," a.k.a. cousin kenneth.
he even let her try on his hat - just for a few seconds, anyway... "Merry Christmas, Ya'll!"
christmas day was just as exciting for her (and entertaining for us) - because with each gift opened, she'd jump up & down and squeal "this was just what i wanted!!" 
christmas day was just as exciting for her (and entertaining for us) - because with each gift opened, she'd jump up & down and squeal "this was just what i wanted!!" by the end of the day, though, both sisters ended up playing with large plastic shopping bags, either toting them around full of their opened gifts or using them as sacks to hop around in. and here i thought they had outgrown the stage when the box or wrapping was more exciting than the gift inside...note to self for next year: just get them packing peanuts & bubble wrap.
