today was the last day of school for big sister - and the last day for little sister to NOT have a last day of school. ;-)
they requested i paint their nails for the occasion...
on wednesday, big sister walked away with several awards at the 1st grade assembly - we expected her to receive perfect attendance, but were pleasantly surprised by her A honor roll for the year, improvement award for math, and the bright ideas award. here she is with her class up on stage.
thursday was "luau day" - with lots of fun outdoor games to keep the kids busy and get a taste of summertime! she came home totally exhausted and a bit dehydrated, but nothing a little tlc couldn't fix.
we've got a lot to do this summer, starting with their dance recital this weekend, swim lessons, vbs, two birthdays, and a week-long trip to california. that's in addition to all the field trips planned at daycare and the usual visits with family. bring on the fun!!
