swim school

this week the girls began their 2 week swim class – 4 times a week for 30 minutes per day. for never having been in the water without floatation devices, i think they are doing pretty well. parents are not allowed in the pool area but can watch thru a glass wall, so it was a little stressful seeing them unaccompanied and bobbing around holding onto an underwater rail. julianne learned the hard way fairly early in the first lesson not to let go of the rail. there are only 4 kids in the class, so one-on-one time was available. they ended the class by strapping on floatation devices to their back (like little turtles) and dog-paddling the length of the pool. once the girls realized they had this “safety net”, they were off & enjoying the freedom!
