this year the weather has cooperated to produce an abundant crop of our favorite springtime flowers. the girls are so well trained in their cheesy poses, that i did not have to coach them much this time - "put your arm around her".."put your cheeks together"..."give me a big smile." big sister even put on her best jewelry for the occasion, and there were no complaints this year about how tickly the grasses were. little sister wanted to lie down in a patch, but halfway into lying back, something poked her in the back and she quickly got spooked and sat up.
