8 days, 7 nights, 1597 miles

we began our week-long thanksgiving vacation by heading to OKC to see grandma & grandpa w. the tricky part was packing for 4 people for 8 days for 2 climates. on tuesday, we left OKC for los alamos - 10 hours start to finish with 4 stops and 16 times hearing "are we there yet?" from little sister.

we started the trip back to texas on saturday morning - another 10 hours start to finish with 2 stops and only 7 "are we there yet?"s.
during the days in between - we had lots of fun adventures. it snowed a bit on wednesday night, but it was just enough to get our fix.auntie b with little sister feeding carrots to spirit.little sister riding spring.big sister riding spring.one of the props for uncle fred's annual winter scene. notice the '57 cadillac in the background getting adorned with holiday lights... nature walk thru the jemez with auntie b. it sure did get much colder in the shadows of the forest.

in all, we had a great holiday with family and some memorable adventures.
