today was the kindergarten field trip to the zoo. there were two busloads of kids, plus teachers & parents. we almost saw every animal on big sister's list - zebras, giraffes, & her favorite, flamingoes! - but sadly there were no hippos. we ended the trip with a picnic lunch in the picture-perfect weather at a huge playground across the way.
the chinchilla has very soft fur.
