following the theme of “around the world and back to texas” – the elementary school hosted an open house with student artwork & projects on display. this was little sister’s first real visit to the “big school” – and she loved every minute. she made herself right at home in big sister’s classroom, hauling out home center items and parking herself on the rug to play. mrs. L’s comment on meeting little sister was – “you weren’t kidding about her size!!”
just think, in 2 short years you may have her as a student.
there was a scavenger hunt designed to lead us to all different parts of the school: cafeteria, gym, music room, art room, library, counselor’s office, 3rd grade wing, computer room, then back to the K-1st grade wing. big sister knew where most every place was and was proud to lead the way. the halls were crowded, but we did manage to spot some texas-themed creations by big sister’s class posted here and there.
