big sister and two other classmates got to read the “word of the day” over the loudspeaker this morning at school. they had to read the word, the definition, and use it in a sentence. the word was “protect – to keep someone or something from being harmed. Firefighters help protect us and our homes from fires.”
big sister read the sentence all by herself and got every word. we practiced a few times last night and again this morning, so i guess it paid off. nice job!
we also have two new loose teeth - the ones up front and center. here's hoping these end up under her pillow for the tooth fairy and not in the landfill with the others...
