we joined a whole crowd of people last night to attend the plano balloon festival 2010.
(last year's estimated attendance was 95,000). 
we missed the balloon launch but were able to see the balloon glow and fireworks. the girls did not enjoy walking out on the field next to the full balloons - because the fire from the burners was scary. but once we settled onto a hillside - remote from the scary noises - they were better. 
and then after we got them glowing swords to play with - they were happy as could be.
