the big night

even though we had a last minute change of costume, tonight was a big trick-or-treating success. little sister was sad that her fairy wings were smaller than big sister's, so she opted to be a ladybug instead. several people opened their door and commented "how beautiful you girls look," to which little sister would say "i'm a ladybug!!" - so i think she was happy with her choice.

the scariest moment for the girls (but funniest moment for daddy) was when we came upon a frog on the sidewalk. daddy shined the flashlight on it, so the frog froze, but he played it off and was like "look girls....what is this on the sidewalk??" big sister walked up rather confidently, into the darkness, not knowing what it was but intent to find out. then when the frog started hopping, the girls started squealing in terror. i bet the frog was terrified too. so, daddy & i walked the girls home, giggling all the way. we got our trick and they earned buckets full of treats!

happy halloween!!!
