7:28 am - all dressed up – with somewhere to go! the big day is FINALLY here!
7:43 am - daddy & i escorted our kindergarten kid to the BIG SCHOOL.
the first stop was the cafeteria, where normally she will eat breakfast, but today we ate at home which left time to people watch and see all the other kids & parents doing the same.

7:45 am - next, it’s time to line up behind our teacher and follow her to the classroom. (i hung back a bit to play photographer…)

once inside the room – it was time to put backpacks away & find her seat at the tables where playdoh was waiting. i caught a glimpse of the day’s lesson plan at the back of the room and every minute was filled with an activity, which is something we had been missing for the past 3 weeks at the new daycare (being in school-age “summer camp” mode). she was truly excited to be in the new setting with new kids around her, and i happily breathed a huge sigh of relief. the 7:50 bell rang, so we parents said our last goodbyes and scooted off to work. can’t wait to hear all the stories this afternoon about her first day on the big kindergarten adventure.
