we were shocked to discover the pepper plants on our back porch had been eaten to NOTHING by one single caterpillar. a picture-perfect, taken straight from a textbook caterpillar if you ask me. we now have a "pet" caterpillar - in a jar on the back porch, that the girls are feeding lettuce to while waiting for it to change into a butterfly. wonder how long that will take...
