the girls were more than eager to decorate a gingerbread house this year. they showed true patience as they sat there while the icing was being applied, their mouths watering and anxious to nibble on some candy. the reward at the end was to eat the leftovers, but thanks to my sneaky good planning - there were only a few pieces left. now we have a lovely centerpiece for our holiday table.
