little sister has been wearing pigtails in her hair for the past week or so. i think she looks super cute and girly. they seem to match her personality. she wore “jingle bell” barrettes one day with them and enjoyed shaking her head just to show off the bells. the next day i dressed her in regular bows, so it caught her by surprise when she went to shake her head and there was no sound. as christmas gets closer, i’m sure we’ll wear the bells again soon.
she’s got two songs to learn for the holiday program at daycare: feliz navidad & rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. we are slowly but surely working on them. my favorite part is when during rudolph – she sings “and santa came to say… ho! ho! ho!” last year her class learned jingle bells, and at various times throughout the year she loved to belt it out – so, it will be nice to have other options in her repertoire.
