not only did we have a holiday from school and work today - but also a holiday from the grueling summer heat! (last i heard we were on day 66 of triple-digit days for the year...)
we woke up to a chilly (by comparison anyway) 61 degrees, and a north wind all day made a sunny 85 degrees feel heaven-sent. we just had to get out in it - so we dusted off the ol' scooters, and then later went to play at the park. fresh air & sweet freedom!
the rest of the week looks pretty good, too. the girls will finally get to have recess and maybe we can dig out some sweaters for the morning! come on, fall!!
