today at noon - the jaguars had their 2nd game, but the 1st one that big sister played in. (we were out of town for game 1.) they played a team that was 2 years older, so you can guess how that went. but all our girls did great! (considering...)
big sister started out as goalie - and made a lot of stops and did not let any balls get past her. she liked getting her hands on the ball and throwing it in as far as she could. even the ball that smacked her in the side of her face did not go in...but that hit sidelined her until after halftime. there were quite a few injuries actually - from a ball to the stomach to a kick to the hand to some hard stumbles. we thought one of the girls had a tooth problem because she kept messing in her mouth, but it was just a stubborn piece of orange slice that got caught.
daddy helped the coaches tend to the injured by making ice packs and pepping the girls up so they would want to return to the game. the last quarter was played without goalies, as we had only 4 of 7 players able to play. but the girls are getting better and better with each practice & game, and since 6 of 7 have never played before this season, they are all doing really well!
