we watched the rides being set up all week, and even had to walk thru the grounds on our way to & from soccer practice on thursday, and this year seemed like a particularly LONG wait...but today was finally our day to go to the annual fall carnival. it was hot and sunny, and got very crowded by the end of our 3 hours there, but the girls had a blast and rode both their favorite rides and some new ones, too.
little sister braved the tall slide, but just the one time because it was too fast for her.
this new ride went round and round, up and down for a rather bumpy ride, but the kids all liked it.
big sister's favorite was these race cars (and being under a shady canopy was nice too...)
but the one we were ALL talking about was the dragon rollercoaster. two years ago, little sister did not do so well on it. and last year, both girls refused to ride it. but this year, little sister showed it who was boss. and riding it with her friend from daycare helped some, too.
