no arguments this morning – both girls were excited for the first day of school!
we had to split up once we got there, since kindergarten gathers in the cafeteria and 2nd grade goes to the gym. last night big sister suggested that i should go with little sister, since “she might need me more.” after walking big sister to her classroom and saying good-bye at the door, daddy was able to catch up with us in the cafeteria and walk with us to the kinder hallway. the kids first found their cubbies and put away their backpacks and lunches, then found their seat and started a coloring sheet. after about 3 hugs & kisses each, we left our little kindergartener to brave the day without us. here’s to a great year of less thumb-sucking, earlier, no-fuss bedtimes, and lots of learning success!
