today we ventured south 2 hours on highway 101 to monterey. we played on the sandy beach, despite the cool wind & temps in the mid 60's. it's the ocean, after all, and we're in california!! after a picnic lunch at an awesome city park, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the monterey bay aquarium. there was so much to see and do. our evening ended with a fancy dinner on the wharf and dessert from a candy shoppe we passed and could not resist.
